
A woman suffered a fractured eye sockect and cuts to her face during an assault by a man in a Sowerby Bridge bar.
The incident happened on Sunday 24 June at around 10.30pm at Bar Francisca on Wharf Street.
Two women, aged 29 and 31 were assaulted by a man at the bar. Both women victims suffered injuries, one a fractured eye socket and further cuts and bruising to her face. The other suffered injuries to her nose and swollen left eye.
The suspect is described as a white male, in his early 20s, 5ft 8”, stocky build, short dark hair and stubble on his chin.
Police are appealing for members of the public who witnessed anything or have any information about the incident to come forward to the police to assist with the ongoing investigation.

A group of us go down to sowerby bridge once a month and we have never seen any trouble there but saying that we never see a walking police patrol prevention is what is needed down there before all the rough elements descend
